Dedicated Space
With all the new kit you've probably had to go and buy, a sensible suggestion is to group all items together by sport. For example, if cricket is the sport of choice, keep the bat, pads, kit and balls together. Hooks are a great way of storing bats, sticks and bats so that they can be easily found. Then make sure a named bag is alongside so everything is ready to go.
Get it ready the night before
Seems a simple idea but it really does mean you don't have to stress about it in the morning. Ensure you know what kit is going to be needed to next day and ensure it is all clean and together with all little bits ready. Of course, we can't guarantee that your kids won't spring something on you but it is a good habit to start.
Give the kids responsibility
If your kids are of a certain age, perhaps you could delegate responsibility to them. Of course they still might need help with the cleaning and packing it together but ask them to ensure it makes it into the car before you leave.
Organise your space
The last thing you can do is to ensure the garage is tidy and organised. We mentioned creating zones and this doesn't have to just apply to sports equipment.
